WHY SO SLOW?

BruceWesleyChenowewth-2015-04-19-ThumbIf you have been following this site, and wonder why it is taking so long to get all the improvements completed, here is why: We are in the process of moving home and office into a smaller space next door to the old place. Have been for months now, although it is beginning to seem like years …

Back in January it seemed like it would be simple to move right next door. I couldn’t have been more WRONG! If we were moving to, say, New Jersey, we would hire a huge moving van to load up everything one day, then dump it in the middle of the new home another day. But, with moving “just next door,” there is no sense of urgency. It becomes one thing at a time. Then another thing. Then another.

So, here we are, a zillion and a half things, one at a time, out one door, down the ramp, to the street sidewalk, left turn, half a block, another left turn, to the steps, up the steps, into the house, decide where it should go, move what was put there already, put it in place, and back again for another load. FIVE MONTHS OF THIS ALREADY! There is not much left to move, and much of that goes to the Caldwell auction, so this website will be getting more of our divided attention in the near future.
